Training Programme Purpose
Learners accredited with this unit standard will be ensured of driving competence with the required skills, values and knowledge reflected in this unit standard and obtain their driver’s license. Learners who achieve this unit standard will demonstrate attitudes related to road users to reduce driving risks and maintain safety on the roads, drive a light motor vehicle in accordance with defensive driving and legal requirements, and demonstrate techniques and procedures to improve driving skills.
Entry requirements:
> Learners must have the applicable learners license
> Basic numeracy and literacy skills
> Learners must be over the age of 18
> Teaching language is English
> Physical requirements are set in accordance to occupational standards
> Ratio: Theory 1:10, Practical 1:4

Day 1
> Introduction to meet the requirements in order to obtain a valid driving license
> Driver attitude and responsibility
> Driving risks and maintaining safety on the roads
> Techniques to improve driving skills
> System of vehicle control

> Summative assessment
> Summative assessment preparation
